Pursued by ambitious reporter Lois Fairchild (Sharon Taylor), Dixon fights the Tomatoes at every turn. Soon, giant 6' Tomatoes are on the loose, resisting the Army's best efforts to pulverize them. Defeated in the field, the government turns to its secret weapon -- an all-out public relations campaign which purports to prove that tomato plants are less dangerous than nuclear plants.

Nevertheless, America is on the brink of extinction... until Dixon figures out how to shrink the oversize predators! A particularly odious teen ballad, Puberty Love, does the trick. Upon hearing the saccharine lyrics, the Killer Tomatoes® are reduced to tiny, quivering wrecks--and quickly stomped to ketchup by the aroused citizenry.

Jim Richardson is brought to justice, and, in a fitting finale, Mason and Lois fall madly in love.
